Classes in the U-building at Zernike were moved on Thursday and Friday due to emergency repair work on the central heating system. Issues with the boiler can potentially lead to hazardous situations.
The Faculty of Science and Engineering (FSE) emailed the students to inform them about the schedule changes. The week before the Christmas holidays, the U-building will once again close its doors for further repairs.
Relocating classes
Schedulers and study programmes are currently working on relocating classes that were scheduled for the end of this year. After the Christmas break, students will be able to resume classes in the building.
FSE rents the space from the Hanze University of Applied Sciences, which owns the building. The repairs are therefore the Hanze’s responsibility. In February, students will be able to use the facilities in the Feringa Building.
