Seventy thousand Lego bricks were used to create the replica of the Academy Building that the German Euroculture student Johannes Bey made. He undertook the project out of fascination for Groningen’s iconic landmark and it took him over six hundred hours in four years to complete. On Friday, the miniature version was briefly displayed in the actual building to add splendour to Bey’s graduation ceremony.
