A student has died after running off the roof of Vindicat at Grote Markt on Thursday morning. She succumbed to her injuries in the hospital on Friday.
‘We are utterly devastated and have no words for this immense, heartbreaking loss. At this moment, we are in the deepest mourning and wish to extend our condolences to everyone for whom Justine was so dear’, read a statement from the association.
Vindicat has declared an official period of mourning. The society’s flags are flying at half-mast, and dozens of people, including mayor Koen Schuiling, have laid flowers in front of the building.
Flowers were also laid all day Monday in front of Vindicat’s premises.
