Last weekend, more than 1,700 rowers from all over the country came down to Groningen, where the Gyas Meerkamp was taking place on the Hoornsemeer. This rowing competition, which consists of a long-distance race of 1,750 metres and a 450-metre final, traditionally concludes the student rowing competition. After all the athleticism, there was time to cool off with a beer.
