Can you escape your house in time if there’s a fire? That’s what students could test in an escape room fire department set up at the Vismarkt.
The aim was to let students experience what it’s like when a fire breaks out, how to act quickly and safely, and how to escape from a space filled with smoke and flames.
‘Many students believe that a fire won’t happen to them’, explains Hans Foekens from the fire department. ‘This contributes to raising awareness, especially with the added pressure of time constraints.’
