Aletta Jacobs taught women how their bodies work

The University Museum recently came into possession of a very special anatomy book, written by our very own Aletta Jacobs. It’s special not just because it’s a first edition, but because it showcases the female body in a way that was unusual back then. She even knew where the clitoris was!

We take a look at this rare book for International Women’s Day.
