The UG’s Makercie team has won the European Rover Challenge (ERC) in Poland. This is a three-day competition in which student teams from all over the world compete.
On a special Mars circuit, the participants had a Mars rover they designed themselves perform various tasks from real NASA and ESA missions. The UG team is the first Dutch team ever to participate in the competition.
The team consists of students from a wide range of fields of study: artificial intelligence, computing science, physics, chemistry, law, international business and mathematics.
