The RUG is starting a network organisation for staff members younger than 35. The new platform is meant to contribute to a greater sense of belonging.
The platform is called YoungRUG and its goal it to bring the younger employees closer together. ‘The idea is for them to get to know each other better and share experiences’, says RUG spokesperson Riepko Buikema.
The network organisation is create a sense of belonging among the young employees. The group is also meant to serve as a sounding board for the university. ‘They will also talk to the university board once a year about anything and everything that’s happening at the university’, says Buikema.
The RUG will spend 7,500 euros to set up YoungRUG.
