Zpannend Zernike, the free science festival for elementary school students, will be back on September 30 and October 1 at locations throughout the city. In the Academy building, children can learn about what someone’s skeleton reveals about how they lived, and they can visit the children’s book doctor for a reading prescription. In the Bernoulliborg, they can make their own shampoo and conduct experiments with magnetic ferrofluid.
The festival is part of the Groningen Science Weekend. On Friday evening, September 29, there is the European Researchers’ Night at the Forum for adults, featuring science shows, discussions, mini-lectures, music, and experiments.
