The UG’s Blaauw Observatory will be open for the Nacht van de Nacht (Night of the Night) on Saturday, October 28. Visitors can stargaze and there are a variety of astronomical activities.
The Nacht van de Nacht is an initiative by the Natuur- en Milieufederaties to draw attention to the beauty of the night and the consequences of light pollution. This edition is extra special because the Blaauw Observatory is celebrating its fifteenth anniversary this year and because there is a partial lunar eclipse that evening.
