As of Wednesday afternoon, the Martinihouse emergency accommodation at the Donderslaan is full, says municipal spokesperson Manon Hoiting.
It took less than six days for all of the 125 beds to get occupied by homeless students, meaning that the second emergency accommodation, The Village at Peizerweg, will open its doors earlier than planned.
Students still in need of a temporary place to stay can reserve one of the eighty beds at The Village from Thursday on. They’ll have to sleep in a dorm, while at Martinihouse students share a room with one other person. Once the beds at The Village fill up, additional spots in the Bud Gett Hostel will become available.
