The board of directors has once again decided to ease up on the bachelor-before-master rule, meaning the UG is ahead of central legislation.
Rector magnificus Cisca Wijmenga announced the decision to the university council. Bachelor students with a minor study delay at the end will still be able to start their master programme.
It’s the third time in a row the rule is relaxed. In earlier cases, students weren’t allowed to have a delay of more than 30 ECTS. The faculties will decide the exact limit themselves.
The decision has everything to do with the delays students have suffered due to the Covid pandemic.
