Students can register for new student flat Acero
The rooms will cost 415 euros each. The rent includes service charges such as electric, and students will be able to apply for housing benefits. Students can register for a room in Acero on Lefier’s website until February 14.
After the deadline, the housing corporation will assign rooms by drawing lots. Students who are assigned a room will be able to move in on March 1.
Stripped
Lefier completely stripped the inside of the Selwerd building and started from scratch, which means Acero’s rooms will be bigger than what they were. The rooms measure approximately eighteen square metres and come with their own shower and toilet.
Students still have to share the kitchen with six or seven roommates. The kitchen has room for a table and chairs so students can eat together if they like. The new building also has a laundry room and bicycle shed. There is Wi-Fi throughout the entire flat, which is also entirely gas-free.
Kornoelje flat
Acero is the second Selwerd flat to be completely renovated. The Dragant building was finished in June 2019 and replaced the fifty-year-old Duindoornflat.
The third Selwerd flat, which used to be called the Kornoelje flat, is currently being renovated and will ultimately have the same facilities as Dragant and Acero.
