Make your own holiday candy: 16th-century marzipan

Did you know that marzipan existed way back in the 16th century? PhD researcher Merit Hondelink studies what people in the past ate and how they prepared their food. For this, she turns to historical sources such as old cookbooks, which is where she found this old recipe for marzipan. With the holidays coming up, UKrant paid her a visit to get a taste.
