Non-EU students also get corona discount on tuition fees
Non-EU students will also receive a corona discount
Next academic year, non-EU students in the Netherlands will get a discount on their tuition fee of 1,084 euros, to compensate for the coronavirus-related learning loss.
The support measure is part of the National Education Programme, which will cost 8.5 billion euros.
The compensation of 1,084 euros is equal to a 50 percent discount on the statutory tuition fees that EU students pay. All students, regardless of the type of tuition fees they pay, will receive the same discount.
Those who are pursuing a second bachelor’s or master’s degree fall under the same tuition rules as students from outside the EU and the European Economic Area.
According to a spokesperson for the Ministry of Education, the details of the arrangement are still being worked out.
